DWG export is broken and useless

I do use Fusion 360 on a MacBook Pro under startup license for my small business.
I draw parts and need them to be made by suppliers so I need to make dwg drawings.

Huge shame that this output option is not working !

If lucky, the drawing is exported nicely, but the formatting is trash.

Otherwise, there is missing geometry or even nothing in the file.

How are we supposed to work as professional on a software that is not able to share our designs ?

This comes up a couple of times a week. The DWG files Fusion produces can only be read by AutoCAD, if you have AutoCAD you can export the view from drawing to model space using the EXPORTLAYOUT command. If you don't have AutoCAD some people have used DWG Trueview to save to 2012 version then open in Draftsight.

What is the point to make a export format only readable buy a small amount of software ?
Sharing is then useless or so !

I do not have AUTOCAD and TrueView is windows only.

What can I do ?

Well I'm afraid you're stuck, I don't think the mac version of AutoCAD or AutoCAD Lt work either. All you can do is vote on the ideastation for as many or the requests for improvements to DWG export but don't hold your breath because Autodest don't seem to see this as important.

Here's a search, take a look through the results and vote for the ones asking for export improvements.

You'll need to do a search but I seem to remember there was a problem with the mac versions. Think the EXPORTLAYOUT command might not be supported. I guess you could try downloading the 30 day demo of AutoCAD Lt and try.
