Drawing sheet folder in modeling environment

Ok, I just started creating drawings from my models and I noticed there is no folder in the Modeling Browser for drawings!?  So I went to “Drawings Update & Roadmap – April 2017” and saw this, “We’ve made some big leaps in this area by releasing some meaty features like the browser & multi-sheet (can I get a hallelujah?!).”  Are they talking about the Drawing browser?  Or the Modeling browser?  And if it is the Drawing browser WHY?  … is there not a folder for drawings in the Modeling browser?

I think the browser meaning is to modify the model through the web browser without installing Fusion 360. 

Here is the detail information.

Hi Rex,

By Drawing browser we are referring to this:

Previously once you created a drawing there was no way to edit the drawing to add/remove components.  Now for each base view we show a browser node in the drawing environment which allows you to include/exclude (from parts list), and show/hide components in the corresponding view and any projected views. We do not have a "Drawings" node in the Model (3D design's) browser.

What you could do to collect your drawings is create a Drawings folder in the Data Panel under your project and then save your 2D drawings there:

Otherwise the drawings (the f2d which is actually a separate file from the design/f3d) will appear in the data panel with the designs.

Hey Christopher,

Your response did answer my question and give me way more info than I figured out myself at this point.  I’ve only just started branching out into the drawing environment. 

I did start by creating a drawings file in my Data Panel but have since appended the names of my associated models for their drawing by adding a Sh1, Sh2, etc. to keep all info together in same folder. 

I just figured that by having a Drawings file or “node” in the browser of the modeling environment of each part/assembly it would be so much easier and convenient to keep track of all files/documentation.
