Hi,

Sorry to hear of the trouble.

We did see an issue with the beta releases of Catalina and earlier versions of Fusion 360. However the September release of Fusion 360 supports the now released production version of Catalina.

Are you running on the beta or released version of Catalina (10.15)? If beta, can you update and see if it helps?

Does the problem occur when creating a drawing, opening a drawing, both?

Can you attach your diagnostic log files? Perhaps they can give us a clue as to what's going on.

Hi,

From the log it appears there's a problem auto-saving the drawings file.

Can you go into Finder and go to ...Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/{GUID folder}/W.login/F? In this folder move or rename the files found there. Then try launching Fusion and see if Drawings works?

Not sure that's the problem, but might be a place to start.

Hi,

Sorry to hear it's still a problem.

In looking at the logs it appears you are using a version of Fusion 360 available via the Mac Apple Store.  Is this correct?

If so, unfortunately this version was discontinued earlier this year. Your logs show a Fusion version of 2.0.5677 while our current version is  2.0.6516. As such I wonder if the issues might be resolved by having you:

  1. Uninstall the current version of Fusion as you would any other app obtained from the Apple Store.
  2. Click HERE to download the Fusion 360 Cleaner tool. Run this after uninstalling Fusion to ensure any files that may have been missed during uninstall are also removed.
  3. Next click HERE to download the Fusion 360 Client Installer. Once downloaded run to install the latest Fusion 360.
  4. Login with your existing credentials and see if the issue is resolved.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the details.  This fixed it.

Though I will note that the cleaner app fails to run ("This application can't be opened.")

Also, the "Fusion 360" app could not be found in the /Application folder.  Upon searching it was found in ~/Library/Application Support/AutoDesk.  I deleted that whole folder and proceeded with the fresh installation using your installer link.  Thank you!

Hi,

I'm having serious problems with the Drawings module. It makes my whole OS to freeze. 3D design works like a charm. But when I'm working with Drawings, the application (and the whole system) randomly freeze and I need to restart the computer.

Apparently the issues were related to a drivers' update:

https://mrmacintosh.com/2020-002-update-causes-some-macs-to-freeze-when-using-hw-accelerated-video/

I installed the 2020-004 Security Updates for macOS Mojave and, since that, everything works fine on Drawings.

Sergio.
