Drawing files will not open, system crashes when a new drawing is attempted

When I select to open a drawing file it starts to load, the drawing screen opens then immediately closes, sometimes a warning message flashes up but not for long enough to read. I've tried with several different files all with the same response.

When I create a new drawing, the drawing tab opens and then the fusion 360 freezes and wont respond to anything or shut down.

Anyone know of a fix?

I managed to get a shot of the message, it's just the message you get when the drawing just needs updating.

Hopefully the screencast video in my previous reply will help with diagnosis.

Sometimes when I try to create a new drawing it just exits the drawing and sometimes freezes.

I have drawings to do for a client so this is a bit frustrating.
