Dimension tool is incorrectly identifying endpoint

I am trying to dimension a horizontal distance from the centerline of a part to the end of a 30 degree inclined surface. I do things like this all the time without trouble, but this time it keeps identifying the endpoint as a seemingly random point out in space. See the screenshot below where the green square is the snap point labeled endpoint. The point I want to dimension is the transition from the 30 degree line to the 45 degree line. I've gone back and looked at the underlining sketch and there is nothing weird there either - specifically, there is nothing at this location that is being identified as the endpoint. I have spent at least 20 minutes trying every dimension tool and option available and I can find no way to apply this dimension except to sketch it on manually. This works fine for any point on this sketch except this one location.  Is there something I am missing or need to do differently? Thanks for any assistance.

Without the model, it is hard to diagnose your drawing.  Can you please attach the mode?  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.
