is there a way i can make it show diameter instead of radius when i click on a arc?

No, wish there was. @Phil.E Any chance we could get an option to display the diameter as well, or even an option in preferences for either radius of diameter.

Would it suffice to show diameter for full circles, and radius for arcs? Like how the dimension tools work, based purely on geometry selected.

Yes that would be great. I was going to ask for that but thought that might be asking too much! Needs to work for surfaces and curves.
