Desktop or PC configurations for Fusion 360

(This is my first post so excuse me if this is the wrong place)

So...... I am a Highschooler that has studied 3d printing and CAD for the last 3 years now and in my opinion gotten pretty good at it for my age. I have already learned Fusion 360 and Inventor, but sadly I only have access to it and my school and local library. I am thinking of purchasing a computer, I need a new one for school, and thought I would get Fusion 360 on it too. Does anyone have an good recommendations for good laptops (under $2,000) that can run Fusion 360 really smoothly and complete good renders? It definitely needs a graphics card and ram too. I would prefer a laptop, but any desktop configurations would be great too!

Would you prefer windows or Mac? If you are only wanting F360, and not Inventor on this laptop, then that does open the door to Macs for you.

The new MBPs are pretty good from what I understand. You're unlikely to run into any issues with F360 on one of the new 13" or 16" models.

If you want to go the Windows route, I personally use a Lenovo but also think Dell is making really great devices right now. Fusion is one of the rare CAD systems out there that doesn't only optimize for a workstation graphics card (NVIDIA Quadro), so this really opens the doors up for you. If it were me, I would be looking at the brand new Dell XPS 15 (or the old one to save some $$$). It looks like the old model with a 515GB HD, 16 GB of RAM, and the i7 comes in just under 1800. You can also move down to 13 inch to save some money and max some specs as well. Furthermore, you can always save money by looking for used or refurbished units.

I'm interested to hear other's opinions on this. What's everyone's favorite device for F360?
