Hi,
I've created a DXF in Corel Draw - bezier nodes are more accommodating making workflow quicker on my parts until
I learn Fusion better.
The issue I'm trying to solve:
After using the DXF to trace (using the line tool), I am unable to delete the underlying DXF without getting error message.
I've tried two approaches.
1. New sketch-line tool-click on DXF - trace. When using this, any attempt to delete the DXF gives me an error stating I have deleted my sketch plane and need to "redefine" it. However, right clicking on my sketch, selecting redefine sketch plane, then does NOT allow me to select anything on my screen at all. (plane, background, sketch, etc.). I am also unable to do this PRIOR to deleting the DXF.
2. Before making the sketch - I add a step where I define its plane. I then use the DXF to trace on top of. If I try to delete the DXF afterwards, this time I get an error message that says "this feature is referenced by other features in the timeline".
Both of these conditions tell me the "sketch plane is lost"...
Should anyone be curious - the reason I am re-drawing the DXF is because I am unable to assign the cutting processes in the Manufacturing tab, with the DXF... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks!
