Hi Everyone,

How do I add a custom font (AeroExtended) to Fusion 360 Education Edition? I have tried restarting the program and have had no luck.

Thanks

What type of Font is it, TTF or OTF?  Fusion 360 tends to like OTF Fonts better.  Also what is your operating system?  If Windows, be sure the add the Font when Fusion 360 is not running and make sure you install it for "everyone".  Attach the Font and the Forum users can test it for you.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I believe it is a TTF file and I am running on Windows 11. I am the only user so i installed it under my (c) disk in the fonts section.

HERE is the font.

Thanks,

Hi,

1. the font is added in your system.
2. but fusion prefers OTF types and still does not accept every font.

Yes, it is added to the system. I didn't know that Fusion prefers OTF files so that is most likely the problem. Not a pressing issue but is there any way to convert a TTF to an OTF?

When I was looking at the tutorial it said that fusion only accepts .ttf files so it is most likely just an incompatible font.

I converted the TTF font into an OTF font and it loads into Fusion 360 fine and you can create text with it.  The font is still not usable since it will not generate a profile, even when exploded so creating any features with it are not possible.

By the way, do not use the "Post Reply" icon when you are replying to a post, it just addresses the post to yourself.  Use the "Reply" icon on the post you are responding to to address it to the person you want to address.  Look back at this Forum thread, you will see what I mean.
