Hey there,
for a customer project I am to design a plug for a housing that has already a thread inside. I measured it to be 26mm in outside diameter, 24mm in inside diameter and a G14 perfect fit for my thread measurement.
So at first I thought it is just a cylindrical thread as the length is only 10mm.
But when I made the first three BSP G3/4" threads I could not get the plug in very far. So I assumed that it is indeed not cylindrical but conical.
I am since then struggling with fusion to build a coned thread with the right values.
What would be the correct way to achieve that?
A cone with the right thread with constant thread depth that taperes at the end...
I even don't get the settings right with a spring...
With the values from this site for example (they are the same, that I get from any other reference online)
https://www.gewinde-normen.de/kegeliges-whitworth-rohrgewinde.html
I got a outer diameter of 26.44mm and an inner diameter of 24.11 with 14 revolutions per inch with a ptich of 1.814mm and a cone angle of 1°47'.
What would be the correct way to setup a coil for that?
