Create a spiral of dots on surface

It's quite hard to describe what I mean let alone know how to search for it, but all my searches on here for "spiral in sketch" or "spiral on surface" have led me to creating coils in 3D which I don't want to do.

I am 3D printing a cylindrical box, and on one of the circular faces I would like to create some ventilation holes, but in an attractive spiral.

I understand how to create a circular pattern of circular holes, by drawing a construction line from the centre of the face of the box, then creating a circle at the end of that line, extruding through the surface, then creating a circular pattern using the centre point of the circular face of my cylinder. This creates a circle of holes.

But how would I create a spiral of holes?

i.e. like this, but a spiral:

here is one way:  Since Fusion does not have a built in Spiral command in sketch, you have to create a spiral as a body, and project edges into the sketch.  Then, create a hole and use Pattern on Path.
