Crashing When Opening Manufacture Workspace

Hello,

Fusion is crashing every time I go to the manufacture workspace.  It doesn't matter what project, folder, or design I try to use.  It even crashes if I try to switch to the manufacture workspace on a blank design.  It will also crash if I open a design that was saved in the manufacture workspace.  Every time it crashes and I launch it again it creates a new instance in task manager.  Everything I've seen on the forums points to issues with a specific design file but this is with all files including blank ones. Diagnostic logs are attached. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gus

Hi -

We've seen similar symptoms with other users.

Can you tell me whether you have roaming profiles enabled?

You should be able to tell this by where the system takes you if you go to %APPDATA% in Windows Explorer.

We do use roaming profiles.  Fusion 360 is installed under one of our employee's user profile. C:\Users\jesse.rockwell\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360

Can you see if you can disable roaming profiles on one of the machines that this is being seen on, to see if turning that off makes it go away?

We are writing information into the roaming profile folder that we shouldn't be. Not sure why that's triggering a crash, but that's the current working theory regarding what's going on.

Thanks,

  Jeff

That makes sense as I can run it on my personal laptop just fine. I do not have permissions to edit the group policy on our network.  I can try and get ahold of IT and see if we can. Is there any way to revert to the last version of fusion?  This has only recently become an issue.

Disabling roaming profiles did manage to get it working again.  Will this issue be resolved in the next update so we can use roaming profiles again?

Yes, should be. We are validating a fix now, and will hopefully have it available in the next few days.
