My and my Designer's fusion seems to be working fine. My drafter's fusion is not.

Problem is my drafter's backlog isn't getting any shorter, and neither is our designers.

Drafter cannot Reload links in drawing environment, change sheets, add sheets, click on objects previously referenced. Drafter cannot work in drawing environment.

How can we get this resolved asap?

My IT has already stepped in and completely uninstalled fusion and reinstalled. Cleared user profiles etc., without any effect.

The only option may be to move to software that doesn't surprise you with forced updates.. Or to move to software that allows version rollbacks when the updates they put out breaks workflows..

Seriously. I love Fusion when it works, I really do, but I can't understand how their update process/philosophy would be acceptable to a business that relies on CAD/CAM processes as revenue generators. There have simply been way too many surprise bugs to trust the surprise forced updates without a rollback feature.

Hi,

Sorry to hear of the trouble. Some things to check out:

  • When the drafter starts Fusion have them right-click on the icon and choose Run as Administrator to see if that helps.
  • Is it only on one system? Can the drafter login to another system and it works?
  • If someone else logs in to Fusion on that system does it work?
  • If you create another account on the system and install there does it work?
  • In Fusion go to Username menu > Preferences > General. Change the graphics driver from "Auto-select" to (OSX) OpenGL / DX9 (Windows).
  • Could his options file be corrupt? Try deleting NMachineSpecificOptions.xml and NGlobalOptions.xml. These are located at: //users/username/library/application support/autodesk/neutron platform/options/GUID (OSX) or C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\GUID (Windows).
