Crashes when adding operation to second setup

scrnsht.jpgWhen I try and add an operation to the second setup such as Turning Profile Finishing or Roughing Fusion crashes. I can suppress the first setup and add operations but as soon as it's unsuppressed it crashes. I copied the model and pasted it into a blank drawing and recammed the whole thing and it still crashed. It has done this on every computer I have tried it on (3 here), including a friend's machine in another city when I gave him access. Tried updating graphics drivers, pc drivers and doing a fusion 360 repair. Really at a loss here.

Thanks for reporting this issue and sorry for the inconvenience. I checked your report and dataset. Yes, this problem is reproducible and it was tracked in our internal defect system(CAM-34061). Thanks for the dataset and it will help us to do the further investigation and fix.

In addition, can you have a try the following suggestion to see whether it works for you or not?

Turning off "Automatic In-Process Stock Generation"

Turn on "In Process Stock - Mesh Check Safety" from Preview Features

had no effect. Still crashes everytime.

I can reproduce the problem and have verified that it is a bug.  Setup3 has Stock | "Continue Rest Machining" turned on.  When you add Turning Profile Finishing toolpath, it crashes while trying to calculate the rest stock.  The crash happens while it is processing toolpath Groove1.

I have found two workarounds that might help you until this bug is fixed.

  1. Turn off "Continue Rest Machining", or
  2. Right click on toolpath Groove1, then "Edit Tool", select the Insert, change both "Width" and "Groove width" from 0.5mm to 0.499999mm.  Regenerate Groove1.

Then you will be able to add a Turning Profile Finishing toolpath to Setup3.
