Copying appearance from body

New user question:

I received a file from someone that has lots of appearances in it. I want to copy one of the styles used on one face and use it in another file.

How do I isolate the appearances only used in a single selected body or face?

Please attach your model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

How do you expect anyone to try and help you with your request with just a picture?  Attach your file so the Forum Users can actually try and help you.

Here's a model that illustrates my question.

There are lots of bodies that are green. If I want to isolate the color used on the blade so I can use it elsewhere, how do I do that?

The video will show the process for finding the used appearance and then adding it to "My Appearances" to be used in another model or on another body in the same file.  There is a little bit of trial and error but not much.

Thanks John! So if I don't guess as well as you did, there could be some hunting, right?

There are only so many greens and a some of them are not even close so your guessing will be very quick.
