Copy bodies to another design.

I have no idea why there is nothing about this in all internet, I can not be the only one who wants to copy a body to another project, this must be easier than I think but the threads are always taking another direction.

Do you want to just copy with no link to the original? If so open the design with the body you want to copy, select the body in the browser, right click and copy. Then switch to the other design, create a base feature and with it active right click and paste.

If you need a link back to the original then no there is no way to do that with a standard hub. If you have a team hub copying components\bodies between projects is possible using derive.

On the Create menu there is a option Create Base Feature, in a base feature you are basically in a no history environment and paste is available.

So the "Paste" option is weird. It doesn't show up when I just right click in the middle of the model space, i have to move my cursor way over to the left side of the screen next to my Browser dropdown and click over there for Paste to show up as an option. Just a heads up for those who are also being confused when you dont get the "paste" option

Ive veen able to copy/paste my body... but when i want to edit the values, extrusion width etc, it does not allow me it, it seems the body was brought over as a solid.

how can i bring it over as the cum of the sketches it's made out of.

The source is a narrower version, the target is wider.

Source was specifically design with parameters so that I can modify some key values to then size to the target.

Create you model as a Component instead of a Body.  Conversion of a Body to a Component will probably not do what you want either.  Attach your model for a better answer.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it. If needed, ZIP a F3Z file.
