COMPONENT REMOVED DURING "BREAK LINK" OPERATION

I have a Linked component as part of my model.  When I attempt to break the link for the "inserted" component I get an indication of "preparing for compute".  Shortly after the display of this message the component that I am attempting to break the link on disappears from my model, like it's gone.  I have tried this operation twice with exactly the same results.

I am happy to provide a link to the drawing if necessary.

I did open the questionable file as you asked and executed the "break link" function ensuring that the Component which is the target of the "break link" had visibility turned on.  The results were the same, component disappeared.

Next idea?

I did try the operation again, sent results in separate post.

Also earlier I did attempt a download of the file which failed "Unrecoverable exit code from extractor: -1073741831"

Just checked the model again and I can assure you the the Component "Right End" is not showing up anywhere in the Browser.

Hi David,
At last, I was able to reproduce your break link issue. Indeed, the Right End component disappears after the error message :-(. I've logged an internal defect (FUS-64055) against this so we can investigate it further. The good news is that I don't see this in the latest code base. So, while it is possible this problem has already been solved (and may be available in a future Fusion update), more investigations are needed to know for sure.
Thx for your patience

Thanks for your help with this, I am happy to contribute to the improvement of Fusion through this process.  I will await news of the fix.   In the meantime I am able to continue with the project via a work around.

Cheers!
