Component cannot be moved once inserted into design

I am trying to insert a component into a design. The component has the movement/rotation tabs surrounding the component once it is inserted into the new design, but while the tabs are responsive, the component will not actually move/rotate according to what the tabs say.

It's hard to tell from the photo. Is it part of the joint that is shown on the screen?

Nope it doesn't have anything to do with the joint pictured. It actually keeps happening where the tabs give the impression that movement would be possible, but then doesn't show or recognize any new positions for the component.

To get a correct joint between the two components, I have to move one of the components. I think that somewhere in the design a body or component is fixed/pinned somewhere. Although there are no components (only a couple sketches) pinned or grounded anywhere in the current design, or any linked designs. Is it possible for a sketch to ground or pin an entire assembly to an origin? Is it possible to search for pinned, or grounded points/components/bodies in a design, because nothing is organically coming up in the part tree.

Its hard to say without a full picture of the browser tree. Maybe if its grounded or jointed in its root drawing it could keep it from moving - but that's only if its a link.

I have the same problem.

Created an object in a document, I want to insert it in my work with 'Insert into current design'.

The object appears on the scene, I am able to rotate in the z axe, but if I want to translate, the object doesn't move and I have the message 'root component cannot be moved' and nothing move.

What's the problem with that?
