combining bodies question

Is there a way to combine 2 bodies that will put them parallel on the same plane? Like the tool in prusa slicer that will put the model flat on the table.

I use the move tool but getting them parallel using my mouse isn't giving me the control I need to get one perfectly flat on the other.

I've tried the combine tool and it does combine them but in the orientation you have them in.

Align is probably what you are looking for.  However, it would be good to understand what problem you are trying to solve, because Move or Align are not recommended for most general workflows.  They have their place, but should not be used as a replacement for defining components and using joints to establish relationships between those components.

this is what I'm working on. key racks for friends bikes. I've placed the silhouette of the bike on the rack using the move tool but getting it to sit flat on it is the challenge

aaaand I'm back. lol

I did the create a component step and it joined the two components like your video did but one side of the logo is washed out.
I double checked and it's sitting flat on the plaque.
