With a composed product consisting of 4 components, it is not possible to select a target body, which means that the combine function does not work. I have this issue often so i'm doing something wrong but i don't know what. Can anybody help me please with this?

The problem is the target body is in a linked design. You could set the target to edit in place and combine but that would modify the target's design as well, not sure you'd want to do that?

Another option is to create a new component using Boundary set to New Component and just the target body then use combine to add the other bodies. You should be able to do this using just boundary fill but from my tests it fails and gives a warning.

The reason for using boundary fill rather then copy to create the component is copy can lose it's reference and has no option to reselect a target and destroys your design!

You have 4 components with an External Link. (Chain icon)

These 4 components cannot be edited / modified (Combined) in this file, unless you Break the Link first.

Might help...

Thank you both for your quick reply. I've broke the link off all componants. New problem is that two parts, te most important one's, does not combine as wanted.

Try rolling the timeline back before the combine then use offset face to change the diameter of the parts so they overlap.

EDIT. You can also defeature bodies by selecting faces and hit delete.
