After opening a ticket, I finally got a reply yesterday, Sep 1 2022. It was suggested that the failure was due to an "incident" over the weekend and that it worked now. However, my problem was reported on Wednesday.
I brought up the file again, and the pre-check for the simulation failed, reporting "interferences". and suggested that I open 'simplify' and check for interferences. I did this, and Fusion said there are no interferences.
