Close button missing render environment.

This only happens at certain times. I have to force close fusion because I can't get the went windows to go away.

Could it be a high dpi issue?

Hi @aneedles91

Thanks for posting! Which dialog exactly is missing the "close" button (when starting a render, viewing a rendering in the gallery...)? If you can share a screenshot it may help us reproduce the problem.

This could be a UI issue triggered by high DPI - does it persist if you reduce the display resolution?

We appreciate you reaching out about this and look forward to learning more!

I had this happen a couple times today as well. The first time, the close button was just not there, so I killed the process, and started over. The second time, I just left the process run, and after a while (less than 15 mins), while I was working in Coreldraw. When I came back, the button had appeared. When it happens, it seems the render window is modal, and I'm unable to interact with any other controls in F360, aside from those in the render window. I get the vibe that this is somehow due to F360 contacting remote servers for rendering, even though I'm only rendering locally.

I did have the same issue. Now there is a "Close" button, but I cannot click it. Nothing happens. How is this still an issue? The initial post is half a year old!

Same issue...

Has there been a response by the support staff ever since all those people said it happened to them, too and pictures have been posted?

I can't even save my project because I am focus locked to that window and I do have some unsaved progess I would hate to lose.

I can confirm this is still happening.  Fusion 360, using Windows 10.  The "Close" button disappears on the Rendering Gallery window, locking focus to that window.  I have lost data multiple times due to my file being unsaved, as Fusion 360 must be forced closed when this occurs.  As an experiment, I left Fusion 360 alone and although it took on the order of 3 to 5 minutes, the Close button returned.  It seems like there is some kind of very lengthy loop that is taking forever to run before the Close button reappears on the Rendering Gallery, holding Fusion 360 hostage until it reappears.

I cannot close the render view window, can't get back to design view, can't close fusion. Only option seems like its CTRL ALT Delete and loose my current progress.

Same problem here. I cannot exit the render mode. Then I deleted the image, but still I cannot leave the render mode. I fear I can only close the program and must hope that I saved my last version before rendering

Same problem a couple of times. Cannot leave the render mode. Sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes before it shows again.

I've been having this issue for years now.

I have been lucky enough that right-clicking on 360 in the task bar and choosing the close button on the window preview brings up the dialog to save (which I do) and then I see the upload message, the save dialog closes and I'm left with the same unresponsive render gallery window but at least I can murder the 360 task and bring it up again.

Alternately, I have gotten the "close" button back by switching tasks but, as others have reported, the button does nothing and the program remains unresponsive.

I notice there's been no further input from Autodesk on this issue... for years...

Anyone have any ideas?

I just tried to file a bug report and reference this forum thread, but was not able to file the bug report.  Anyone who can should file a quick bug report with the URL to this thread.  Maybe they will finally see and fix this bug then.

This has been an issue for at least 3 years now. Is there any chance it could be fixed?

SolidWorks is looking really appealing.
