I'm trying to model a tire but when I do a circular pattern is does a couple of them and just cuts off the rest. Any suggestions??

Hi,

please share your design.

Is it possible that the axis of the pattern is not identical to that of the tyre?

Both the sketches for the revolve and for the cuts are off the same plane and all are revolving around the XY axis

I've tried all three and they all do different amounts of times but none do all of them.

We just don't have enough to go on. I think we need to see the model.

So i got it, but its a bit of work:

Basically i used identical and then split the bodies in half then mirrored. The split bodies can be combined and it results in a perfect pattern. the reason for that is the degrees + base object leaves one or two series uncut from above.

sorry to jump in here, but I did look at this design.  The problem is the use of the "All" in the Extrude.  If you switch to a distance Extrude instead, the pattern succeeds.  Also, as a point of performance, if you switch the type of the Feature pattern from Adjust to Identical, it should be faster.  For some reason, Optimized fails.

Bumping an old thread because I am seeing a similar issue. In my case I've created a spline, made a pipe along the spline, then created a body underneath so that I could just select the faces I want and create a circular pattern that leaves me with a single body. Aim of this is to create a surface texture, that I can easily combine with another component to create the final design. Anyway, it works OK up until around 40 or so repetitions, but above that there start to be gaps.

It's not a huge deal, I am sure I can find workaround or just use "only" 40 in the pattern, but pointing the behaviour out anyway.
