Circular pattern not working

I'm trying to do a circular patter on my design, but every time I tried to do it and select the 4 features I want to use for my patter, it comes up with an error message saying " Error: C-Pattern1 Compute Failed, No fillet edge found"  and I have done the whole process 3 times now, and I'm still getting stuck in that step, It's actually a homework from college, any help would be very appreciated.

Hi,

Please share the file and name the features to be patterned

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post

In addition to Attaching your actual *.f3d file here - also include the assignment drawing if possible.

Hi there,

Thanks for your replies, I have attached the fd3 file plus the picture of how it should look like when finished.

Something odd there, I can create odd numbers in the pattern but even number of copies fail!

Works fine with 7 and 9 but 6 and 8 fail. @jeff_strater Can you take a look at the attached file and try changing the count in the pattern.

@Anonymous  Are you trying to create 4 copies and supress 4 like this?

I got it to work if I use pattern faces then pattern the hole feature. See attached file.

very strange.  No idea on that one @HughesTooling .  I was able to get it to work with even numbers using "Optimized" feature pattern, but with Identical, I see what you do and only odd numbers of instances work...  That one wins the bug-of-the-month award, IMO...

@jeff_strater  Did you notice with Optimise you don't get the through hole? I guess this could be done as a second pattern though.

Hi,

Pattern type "Faces" could be your friend.

The hole is going in the wrong direction, just use the flip option. Also don't attach picture, on the editor toolbar there's Insert Photo or you can just paste from the clipboard.
