Circular pattern does not work.

Further in in the timeline you'll see I did set a tangent plane then sketch onto that plane then extrude/cut followed by circular pattern and that works.

Why doesn't it work using the origin plane?

Are any of your sketches fully defined?

How many bodies do you have?

After the circular pattern of the 'fastening tab' there are now 3 bodies. Please see steps below that are in the timeline of attached drawing link

1 - I created the sketch with one 'fastening tab'.

2 - Then I extruded the sketch.

3 - I added my slot sketch to the origin plane

4 - Then extruded/cut the slot

5 - I tried to circular pattern the 'fastening tab' & slot but only the tab worked.

6 - I abandoned the slot as part of the circular pattern

7 -I did a circular pattern of the tab with success

8 - I then tried to circular pattern the slot without success

9 - Finally tried by adding a tangent plane

10 - sketched the slot on the tangent plane

11 - extruded/cut the slot using the tangent plane sketch

12 - then circular pattern the slot with success

I saw that you did not follow proper logic.

Thanks for taking the time to help, Where was my logic in error, so can avoid repeat logic flaws.

Before I create a video - did you examine the file that I attached previously?

(BTW - it was "working" for you, but you had three bodies over top of each other.)

Yes I viewed it. You had 1 body, mine had 3 bodies, 2 were create during the pattern command. So I guess the 3 bodies is the issue. If that's the case, what I did do to cause the pattern command to create 2 additional bodies?
