Casual user NOT FREE personal license

So I am a casual user who needs more than the free personal license, but can't justify ~$500/yr for Fusion360. Before AD NERFed the free version it was fine as I could use it as I need, 3-5 times a year. Why doesn't AD have a mid-tier version that I could pay ~$150-200/year that was full function. That puts it in the reals of Office or Acrobat. I suspect they would gain a LOT of support for people who need more than what is offered, yet, like me, can't justify $500/yr.

We are mostly users and not Autodesk, and can't really speak to how the business side comes up with what products to offer, and at what price points. But these people are super intelligent and are paid a lot of money to come up with the right answers.

You can leave your feedback for Autodesk here.

@Anonymous what exactly is missing out of the Personal version that you need from the Commercial version, but only a handful of times a year?

Clearly I don't know what I don't know. As a casual user I usually don't know the features I need until I need them. Typically that means I search and find the solution, learn about it and then implement it. Sorry to be obtuse, but I guess that is the 'problem' with being a casual user.

In the CAM workspace, Personal Users don't have access to the items in the Machining Extension, much like the Commercial users, with the exception that Commercial does have the opportunity to PAY for that access. Personal users also do not have the ability to perform tool change commands or rapid moves as well as 3+1/2D Wrap functions.

If you're doing 3 axis work a handful of times a year, the free version of Fusion still remains a solid choice, imo

There is a monthly option as well if you only need full functional 2 or 3 times a year.
