Cant export as f3d file anymore only f3z?

I don't know what happened, a few days ago I was happily exporting as f3d files but now it only shows "f3z", which when exported doesn't even work?? "could not open because it is not a supported file type". What's the deal? I'm about to lose a whole lot of work over this

F3Z is exported only if the design contains linked parts.

Thankyou you are right, it is the first time I'd imported work from another file. But what am I meant to do with f3z files? Cannot open it.

F3Z is a complete archive of your design (kind of a superset of F3D, as it can contain multiple F3Ds).  There is no loss of data whatsoever.  If you upload an F3Z to another folder or project, all the Fusion designs will be re-created in that folder.  You can then open the design from that location.

1. save f3z 

2. Datapanel > Folder > Upload > select f3z > ok

3.  included f3d appear in your folder
