I have designed a headstock front plate for a guitar, which has a strip of purfling .080 in from the edges of the piece. I used the offset tool, then the mirror tool, but only after this did I realize that I want to cut the inlay/purfling out in smaller shapes, to account for the material/stock dimensions. I created a sketch again to modify this, connected the lines in an attempt to break it up, but when I hover over to select, it selects the whole shape as it was before and ignores the lines. What am I doing wrong? I've attached the file. Thank you!
