Cannot move/copy a complex body with a lot of raised letters?

I made a body that was comprised of a flattened rectangle with about 200 raised letters running along an ellipse  (intending to use a "stamp" body to cut the letters out of a belt buckle for a costume for my husband). Once I made the stamp using sketch, I cannot raise (along just one axis) the stamp to cut out letters in belt buckle. I tried doing this offline and online. The offline mode seemed to process smoother than online.

Obviously, I realize (and did) lower the buckle body (and the cut went ok despite being laggy) but it seems strange that the program completely stops functioning (and sometimes crashes) when trying to move bodies with complex features.

my guess here is that Fusion does not "crash" in this case.  You are just asking it to do something complex, and it is going to take a while to do that.  As @g-andresen says, though, unless we see the model, it's all speculation.

I didn't get a blue screen. But the application would close, after stalling out (with the entire menu going black as if I'd highlighted it). Again, I was merely trying to move the stamp body up along one axis.

can you be more specific about what operation you are doing when you see this?  In the screencast below I found what I think is the most complex body here, and was able to move it as a component or body quite easily.  But, perhaps I am doing a different operation.

You did precisely what I did.  Move/copy then moving the item along one axis.

Except when I did so, the entire left hand browser menu listing components would turn black. Then the program would close.

Upon returning and reopening the Fusion 360, the file I was working on would be rendered un-editable and I'd have to switch it back to editable.

I tried doing this both online and offline.
