cannot make a offset

 when i sketch a rectangle and extrude it and than sketch a rectangle on top of the extruded rectangle than i cannot offset the rectangle

The contour you want to offset is not in the current sketch.

hi,

thanks for the quick help . Earlier i could hover over the rectangler and the lines turned blue to make a offset.

when i project i also have to project  every single line( a lot of work in complicated sketches).the fact i have to project, is this not because he does not recognise the plane ?

Hi,

the reason that a projection is required is that the needed profile is not in the active sketch.
