Cannot edit STL

I am trying to do a combine cut with these two bodies, but I can't select the imported stl. I have also tried a revolve cut, split body, extrude cut, nothing works. I am new to fusion 360 so I may have missed something small. What do I need to do to fix this?

You won't be able to combine cut a surface body set and a solid body. Really combine works only with solid bodies and not surface bodies.

So you'll need to work with it in patch to get a solid body that can be combine cut - note, with that level of complexity its doubtful that combine cut will run smoothly or at all.

If you are simply cutting the cylinder from the main bodies. you could just extrude cut it all the way through.

Unfortunately this doesn't work, i get the same error message.

Hmm well, i know you can cut surface bodies that way, but without seeing the model i can't be sure why its not working on this one.
