Cannot complete Push/Pull on SVG - "Failed to get target occurrence transform"

I am trying to make a multi-color (color by layer) stencil of a truck for our grandson's wall.  The exported Fusion .f3d file is attached.

 

The idea is

- a black body extruded at -1.6 mm (so the rest of the body can be done from the single sketch)

- a black border embelisher extruded at 0.2 mm

- a red layer extruded at 0.4 mm

- a white layer extruded at 0.6 mm

- a silver layer extruded at 0.8 mm

 

The shape is generated by importing a simple .svg file, and all seems well until I get to the silver layer - which cannot seem to make a connection with the rest of the body.  I can do New body (which generates many bodies, of course) and cut, but Join fails.

 

Only after I got to the silver layer did I notice the sketch is yellow and has the warning, "Failed to get target occurrence transform," which meaning eludes me.  I don't see anything wrong with the sketch at all, and there doesn't seem to be any complaint when editing the sketch.

 

The other thing I notice about this is that it seems to consume all of my (fairly strong) i7 4790K CPU and 16GB of memory, and still struggle with the slightest change.  Not the fastest system in the world, I know, but this makes it feel like an 8080.

you can fix this error using the Redefine Sketch Plane command on this sketch, and pick the XY plane inside the "Semi Truck" component.

 

Regarding performance - the SVG here contains about 1900 curves and 1900 points, which results in lots of edges and faces in the resulting solid.  The performance here is about what I would expect for this level of complexity.  On my machine, a Compute All takes about 20 seconds, which is not too bad, IMO

I tried to Simplify (Inkscape) but it destroyed what I was trying to accomplish.  I do appreciate the response.
