Can You Create Folders In Design Browser For Organization?

I have a project that is similar to the below example image I came across, there are a lot of fasteners and other components that are taking up valuable screen space and I need to try and group them into folders to cut down on the number of items visible. How would I go about doing that?

You will not be able to create a Folder in the Browser.  The way I do it is to create a new component and drag everything like what you show into it making a sub-assembly.  According to your note on your graphic, you do not want to do this and you wrote "not component".

@jhackney1972

Dragging components on top of one another performs no action on my end.

Create your new Component first, name it as desired.  Then select all the fasteners in the Browser, or whatever you desire, and drag into the new Component.  There is a condition that may prevent this.  If your components, you want to drag, are involved with other operations in the timeline, there may be dependencies that prevent your dragging.  In my case I am just consolidating screws at add.

Here is a quick video of me trying to drag the components into another. There is no action or visible UI difference when doing so.

I do not know what the issue is except all the components have dependencies that prevent the process.  If you could attach your model, I would be happy to take a look.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Not able to attach this one.

The models would have modifications made to them, and also 'joint constraints' applied, also they may or may not be pinned but I don't see 'pinned' being a issue.

I think this just comes back to my earlier comment about users needed the ability to create 'folders' in the browser tree to we can organize things better.

Here is a new / different project I just created today. I imported a few items and I am attempting to re-order the items in the browser tree. Not able to move anything around...

I completely agree, but I would prefer user-definable tags and filters and sorting abilities.

Folders are too one-dimensional to organize information in complex designs!

What @jhackney1972 has posted is workaround I feel is quite a crutch. It works but has a number of caveats and gotchas.
