Can't Select Chain from Projected Sketch

If I create a sketch that has a closed chain, such as a rectangle, and then in anther sketch I project that rectangle and maintain a link to the original shape, I can't select the projected chain by double-clicking.  I have to select all the individual entities one by one.

Is there a workaround?

There are some easier selection tools that you could use that are a lot easier than picking the projected lines one by one.  You can switch between there using numbers on the keyboard.  Take a look at the Screencast.

Thanks @jhackney1972, sometimes those methods work, but usually when working with vector art there is too much stuff around what I want to select to be able to use these other methods.

I was hoping there was a secret method to get it to select the chain...
