@AndreySeleznev To clarify, if you create a new design you can save but any existing design you cannot save a modification?

Can you run that workflow and then go to Fusion help - support and diagnostics - service utility - gather system info - and attach the Fusiondiagnostics.zip file

Also, logout of Fusion/ close fusion/log back in to see if that helps?

Yes, correct I can create new design, and I can Save As current design with new name, but can't Save a version of current design.

Log out and log in didn't help.

@AndreySeleznev
@dlw1aes We are investigating based on your logs but would like to get some more details, please.

1. Go into Fusion - help - support and diagnostics - Fusion service utility
2. Run the reset Fusion
3. Close Fusion
4. Launch Fusion
5. Run the workflow that has the save issue
6. Fusion - help - support and diagnostics - Fusion service utility
7. Gather system info

Please attach logs files again.

It doesn't help, but the log is attached. Here is some additional information: I can modify old 2D drawings and save. Also, one detail: I don't have admin rights on this machine, it is corporate PC managed by IT admin.

@AndreySeleznev Thank you for the new logs. Not yet sure if this is relevant yet but we do see some network errors in the logs and could be a possible cause for what you see as many of the services that Fusion needs are failing to get access.

1. Would it be possible to launch this account on a different network and see if you are hitting the same problem?

2. Would it be possible for you to invite me raj.kumar.ilanchelian@autodesk.com into one of these projects having this issue?

@AndreySeleznev Another information is when you open a design do you see a badge next to it in the data panel? Like the one I have attached in the image? Screenshot 2024-11-25 at 3.01.00 PM.png

@AndreySeleznev Thank you for the invite. In the image below you can see that I can open one of the test files, make a change and when I click on save I have the OK button enabled. You can also see the "reservations" badge in the data panel next to the design.

Almost positive now that the reservation is not happening due to "some network block" and hence the reason you cannot save.

On a new design you already have the reservation enabled since you created it on the fly and hence you are not seeing any issues to save.

Thank you for the information. I will try it tonight off the corporate network and talk to my IT to fix network problems.

By the way would you recommend installing Desktop Connector to solve that problem?

@AndreySeleznev Likely no because when you open the file (local or cloud, I say local as when you have desktop connector installed) the file should be "reserved" for your account. This way if anyone else opens the same file and makes an edit they will be notified that another user is having this file open and their badge will now also be in the data panel next to the design.

So even if you open using desktop connector the file should be reserved for you.

Now a simple test on your machine would be, put Fusion in offline mode (manually or y disconnecting internet). Now open the test file and make a change and you WILL be able to make a change. Since there is no internet connection there is no reservation and hence the save will be enabled. This is another test to show that something is blocking the reservation of the file when you are connected to this network.
