Can't edit .step files at all - can open them but not edit, move camera etc.

When I open a STEP file I cant perform any operations on it - even move the camera.
I preformed clean install - didn't work.

File looks like was loaded properly. I tried multiple .step files, downloaded from net, local backups etc. Uploaded files to cloud too - won't work. Same files are fine to edit in 123d design or freecad.

I can hide individual bodies, but can't place sketch or move the camera. A few times when trying to do this it crashed with error: NuClientBase Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not availabe)

Uploaded a few examples of  .step file that wont work on my machine,

Both files work fine on my machine.

But you might want to run Validate

and enable Capture Design History.

Can you create a video of the behavior that  you observe?

Here is the video ,  I opened 2 step files to show the problem and the last file is fusion generated one, without exporting to .step

I couldn't find "validate" and capture design history when using .step files.

All the files I used worked fine a few weeks ago - most recent one was made last week or so.

I noticed there's a lock next to the file name on the tabs. Is the problem you have your 10 editable files active so these are uneditable? Have you tried saving them and making them editable? Maybe upload to a project first rather then just open.

Opened .step file - saved to cloud so the lock disappears - still can't edit it .

Here's the video

Also fusion crashed again when trying to move the camera / place sketch

Also found out..it happens to other .f3d files and .stl I have as a backup or templates. I tried opening files 2019-2023 , they worked fine so far, yet now it won't allow me to edit/move camera like with the .step.

When making a whole new design straight in fusion - it seems to work fine

@Anonymous  it wont work on cloud saved files I based on .step even months ago - loaded my whole libary and each file that was made with .step as a base , wont work. The ones made straight in fusion are fine

Are you using the latest version of Fusion? Should be version  2.0.15775 x86_64.

Have you tried running the Fusion 360 service utility and run the repair option? Maybe even uninstall and reinstall if that doesn't work.

found a way to repeat the crash.
Open step file, then right click on the body. This was done on fresh installation of the fusion 360 , version 2.0.15775 x86_64.

Tried unistalling and removing autodesk files from appdata (roaming and local) but problem still exists.
