Hi

first post here.....been trying for several days but I still can't d/l the software....I'm a student/ hobbyist, never used 360 before but seems I never will if I can't get it to d/l?

I get,

"

We're sorry we cannot provide you with your license details at this time.

We are so sorry, but we are temporarily unable to provide your serial number.

You may download immediately and start to use the software in trial mode.

Please try your serial number request again in 30 minutes.

Our apologies for the delay. "

You are going to this site.  You need to decide what type of license you are trying to get.  As a student you can get a 3 year license and as a hobbyist you can get a one year renewable license.  On the site link above, it explains all of this on the right hand side of the page.

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you just need a direct download link to Fusion? Here is one that you can try.

Also, do you mind posting a screenshot of what you see? I would be curious to see the error message.

Thanks,

ah! I did post the error message I got further up, cut and pasted the text...but following your new link i see the problem! I get

"Your operating system is not supported. Fusion 360 is supported on 64-bit Windows 7 or newer and 64-bit Mac OS X 10.11 or newer. "

So it seems to me that the system was just telling me wrong initially 😞

Now this is a linux machine I'm d/l'ing on, but plan was to transfer to my Windows 7 machine and install there.....I just don't like d/l'ing str8 to that machine is all! 😞 Anyway to do that...?

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry for the delay. I do not believe there is a way to do that. You will have to install Fusion directly onto the Windows machine.

Thanks,

I suspect the website is trying to determine what device you have so it can hand out the right package to you. This is a good idea, however it has been executed extremely poorly and can get false reports from browsers and different network configurations. This makes it think your device is not compatible. A viable workaround would be to just have people select from a list of which software they want/have. Like every other company in the world, but no, autodesk has to be special. Below is an offline version of fusion, you still have to login with it. I haven't tried spoofing my os in chrome yet, but I suspect that would be a viable workaround. In the developer settings is a menu where you can change what your browser is telling everybody it is, changing this to a windows machine should force a report to unblock the download for you. Spoofing the user agent did not fix the issue. I believe its broke server side.

Fact remains there is no way I can use this software if it requires an internet connection. I can download the software separately....but the machine it needs to be installed can not and will not be connected to the internet. Is there anyway to do that?

No, you have to login to use the software, which requires internet to use. and its semi cloud based anyway so, Internets going to be a requirement I think, I can look into it, I may be wrong.

Sorry to Necro this post, but it was the first one to pop up on google, for anyone still looking for a solution for this, on linux they have the download disabled. If you change your browsers user agent to windows 10 it the download prompt works right away. And yes fusion 360 runs fine through wine on linux so this **** download lockout should be removed.
Also, Here's the addon I used to change my user agent

That's exactly correct. Very poorly done.
