Can't do fillet on a sketch

Hi,

I can do fillet on the body in the first picture on the corners I want, but if I choose to fillet the same corners before extrusion it doesn't work correctly (seen in the second & third pictures). I would really like to know why it happens that way. Isn't it the same thing for Fusion 360?

I couldn't upload the photos in here for some reason, there seems to be a problem. Thus I attached it to the post, please see the attached files.

I do not see any issue in creating fillets in the sketch environment as well as the model.  I believe your issue is you have disabled the needed Selection Filter to enable the creation of the sketch fillet.  Go to your Select drop-down, Selection Filter and make sure Select All is checked or at least all the sketch entity types.

It is not that I can't make fillets with any value on that sketch. When I give the same values you gave there is no error. I can't actually do it with the values 20 mm for the inner and 40 for the outer corners. Whereas doing it on the body with the same values works without problem. Sorry for not specifying that, I had to do it in the first post.

Sorry, I did not inspect the pictures that close to know the required sketch fillet values.  The reason you are having an issue is because the end of the fillet, in both cases, ends up on an undefined point.  The answer is shown in the Screencast.

Thanks a lot for your explanation. It wasn't because I can't reach the shape I desire as you see but not understanding how Fusion works doesn't feel good. So I learn you can't make a fillet with the same value that is also the length of its side, thanks to you.

I was following your explanation about the Fillets, I didn't need to make any but was very interested.. I just wanted to say that you did a great job of presentation covering the operations for the fillets. Thanks!
