Can't delete files

I keep getting the message "A version of this design has been referenced by drawings, other designs, or manufacturing-related files and cannot be deleted."  Yet when I go to https://myhub.autodesk360.com/ and look up the file - cycling through ALL versions of it - I find NOTHING.  Both the "Uses" and "Used In" sections are blank.  Isn't there a way to bypass this??

this is most likely because an older version of a design or drawing referenced the design you are trying to delete.  Because an older version can be "promoted" to be the current version, these references can come back to life.  The "Used in" tab only shows where the current version is used, not back versions, which is why it is blank.

@jeff_strater  Would using Remove confuse the online hub if you are looking at old versions of a design?

Unfortunately, there's no option to "remove" the drawings, either.  Additionally, I have several drawings that were created through uploading an .STL file ... there's only ONE version: the upload.  ...and I can't delete THESE, either.

Drawings? Drawings are 2d drawings, do you mean designs or drawings?

I just did a test and it's quite easy to end up with a design that shows it's not used by another design in an old version when it actually is used!

The test file shows it uses the part below USES(1) in an old version, the current version no longer has any links.

But when I open the linked design it doesn't show any link to the "test" design, it only shows it linked to a different design.

So did you ever insert any of the designs you can not delete into another design where the current version no longer contains a link? You need to check through the version history of designs that might have used the design you can not delete as the designs you can not delete would only show links to the most recent version.

I guess that means I'd need to check every version of every drawing... which is very inconvenient.  If this drawing is used in another, fine; but since I don't know where.... that's dozens of drawings, some with 20+ versions each.  Isn't there some other way?

I agree with ALL the complaints about this on the web (not just this post). Fusion 360 needs to improve the ability to delete files. I have files locked with "in use by" me and can not recover them. I have files with 10's of versions, some of which "supposedly" refererence other files. The whole thing is a mess and I can't clean it up. Changing old version or deleting them is not an option either. Overall...this needs a major overhaull. I'm currently on a trial version and I think this is enough to make me look elsewhere for CAD solutions.
