Can't color faces or bodies

I can't seem to change the color of a face or body.  I have a simple border that was originally a jpg.  I converted it to a svg file and uploaded it to Fusion360.  Then I push/pulled it into a 3D object, but I can't change the appearance.  I'm selecting different choices in physical materials and appearance, but nothing changes.  All I want to do is have the border be able to change color.  There must be some default or base selection that I can't seem to change.  I'm confused.  It seems very simple, but for some reason I can't get it to work.

Thanks,

rcm

Hi @Anonymous ,

Did you give a try br Removing Appearance Override and then apply new Appearance\Material?

this seems to work OK for me on your design.  You need to just drag an appearance from the Appearance dialog onto your body.  If that doesn't work, please record a video of what actions you are taking to apply the material.  Thanks!

Jeff,Thanks for the reply.  It's very strange.  I can get the body/face to change color under the Render tab, but not in the Design tab.  In the Design tab I drag the color/appearance onto the object, but nothing changes.  When I switch to the Render tab the change has been made.  So it appears it just doesn't show up in the Design tab, but the change is being made.  It's not ideal, but it works I guess. Thanks, rcm

This isn't just that you have colour cycling (Shift +N) enabled is it?

Toggling Shift + N doesn't seem to change anything.  I don't know, but I can see the colors in the Render tab so that's ok.

Thanks

Open up the same model you first posted to the forum.  Follow the Screencast which gives another method of applying Appearances to a body.
