Can someone tell me if this a bug or visual option?

I was taking screenshots of a project and when I pressed V to turn the model invisible only the solid part left and its outline remained, I actually like this and would love to know how to recreate it, google searches have not turned up much, also when I pressed enter by accident it went away.

It seems not a normal behavior. Can you still see its outline continuous? Is it converted from Mesh body?

It's a converted mesh through form, it treated it like the model was there so if part of the outline would behind part of the model it wouldnt show it, I tried replicating it but I've had no luck I kind of like it
