Morning all,

Hopefully a simple reply for this but its bugging me.

So in my attached picture in the bottom right where it says 1 Face / Radius 19mm

Is there a way to change that so it says Diameter?

Kindest Regards And Thanks In Advance.

Tom

Hi @Tom,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Off of the top of my head, no I don't believe you can change this, but I will look into this.

One thing you can do is after selecting the face, if you hit the measure button in the Inspect menu, you will get a measurement for radius, diameter, etc:

Hey there!

The measurement in the bottom right corner seems to be "intelligent" - it displays the measurement depending on what is selected.

When selecting a cylindrical face it would be great to get the diameter shown. Nobody drills a hole or turns a shaft according to an radius, in 99% you have a diameter given.

Thanks!

kind regards, Norbert

It's easy:

Right click on Radius/Diameter arrow and choose "Toggle Diameter/Radius" (see img below)

Hello!

@Anonymous Please, before you reply: read all messages, understand the topic and then post your comment! We are not talking about dimensioning a sketch!

Thank you!

Was this ever solved? the headline says it was but I am not seeing an answer. To have to measure every time I just want to click on the diameter of something is silly for CAM. I use HSMworks in SolidWorks and it does what we are looking for. Just a thought.

I think it was marked as solved because the answer is no you can't. Not the answer everyone would want but it is the answer to the question. Don't know if anyone's put a request on the ideastation.

here in 2020, seems like this still isn't an option to display diameter in the lower right hand corner.  100% with norbert it would be a handy thing to have

6 years later and I finally found the answer! Right click on the dimension of the radius or diameter, select "Annotation", and then select "Radius Dimension" or "Diameter Dimension". Not sure how long ago they added this feature, but it seems they did it quietly.
