[BUG] when creating a construction plane at angle.

Here is a horrible bug that must have been introduced with the update last night and the construction plane code.

Iv'e done this several times in perspective and ortho mode with different backgrounds.

When creating the plane at angle the screen goes blank and the view cube also vanishes. Zoom to fit does nothing!

No sketch or body visible. This is pretty devastating!

Hi!

Noticed same problem. I tried to restart Fusion + my computer and it changed the situation so, that the command didn't make the screen blank but the construction plane didn't appear visible.

You can probably work around the problem until it is fixed by placing a help-sketch on the invisible angled plane. The sketch is then visible and is helping you locate a plane. You can rename both with some useful name.

Do not touch visibility bulb for all sketches and all planes – this makes all objects irrevocably invisible until you reopen the file. Select and unselect planes or sketches individually.

PS: in one case after "extruding to plane" one invisible angled plane just reappeared.

Thanks. I know how to work around it. Workarounds take time. We just need this fixed.

Addendum: the whole scene disappears if new corrupted angled plane is the only one "visible".

Turn visibility on for some other plane as work around.

Hi guys ...

First post so be gentle !!

I too noticed this as being a bug that is frustrating the hell out of me. This is definitely an issue with the latest update as the tool was working absolutely fine until today when I restarted Fusion 360 to update.

In my case, I have 2 canvasses that I am using to construct the fuselage of this aircraft. Having created a sketch (in the vertical origin plane), I drew a datum line. Using the Plane at Angle tool (again, working absolutely fine yesterday), and selecting the line just drawn caused the whole project to disappear. I've hopefully attached a screencast of the problem.

Any ideas as to when this fairly fundamental issue is likely to be resolved ?

Kind regards

Ben

I appreciate the quick discovery and correction of the problem.
The same problem became a topic late one day in the Japanese forum.
But thanks to this topic, we did not last long on the problem.
Big thanks.

The "invisible planes at an angle" problem may have been fixed in 2019 but here I am in 2024 with the same problem!

I know the plane is there because I can sketch on it, but I wasted a lot of time finding that out! I hope you can get it fixed quickly.

I know this problem was fixed in 2019 but here I am in 2024 with the same problem! I found that the plane is there by selecting the place where the plane should be and making a sketch. I hope you can get this fixed again quickly.
