Bug: search function getting worse with time

Search used to work great.  Click on the magnifying glass, switch to ensure that it was searching "all data" and it would actually show all of the search terms' results.  Exactly how a search function should work.

Beginning around the time that there was the forced migration to teams the same process began returning poor results.  Some items would be displayed, and not others.  It also seemed completely random which would be a result and which would not.

Being frustrated, I came here looking for solutions.  Someone had mentioned that a new search function could be found in the teams interface by clicking on the "home/house" icon.  That seemed to address the issue.  More steps , but the results were what was needed.

Now, however, the search function degradation that happened to the original has leaked into the teams version.  It no longer displays complete results and shows only random results containing the searched term.

Two screenshots are attached.  One showing physical navigation to a folder, the other showing the search functions results for all data.  All of the "12-" in the folder location should have been returned in the search results.  It actually shows that it did search the "by part number" project because its showing "12-" folders within it.  However, the actual files within..... nope.

I just want a working search function that will search everywhere.  Used to have it.  Used to be great.
