Bug report: Fusion 360 not registering alt(option)–key input (Mac keyboard)

I am really happy to have Fusion 360 as a toolbox, it's really fantastic.
However it does not register any of standard alt–key inputs, however, it gets all the shift–keys.
This is frustrating when using Slovak layout and keyboard — I am unable to input *(asterisk) [alt–8] in dimensions and anywhere and have to switch to English keyboard which has the symbol under shift–8.

Is that a big deal to register any keyboard input?

Was there any resolution to this?  I recently started using fusion 360 on both my macs (desktop and MBA) and the option key doesn't work on either of them (default settings).  This is making my use of the sculpt workspace more difficult.  I can't figure out why this is such an unknown issue, lots of others use macs.
