Bug Report: Canvs unexpectedly rotates and distorts when calibrating

Screencast shows the problem.  I think the attached file was the cause.  Note that when I inserted this, I used the on-screen control to rotate it 90 degrees when I inserted it.  I didn't change the scale etc.

Perhaps this is a Mac-only bug?

If anyone needs help reproducing this, just reply to me here and I'll produce something better.  I expect with 'silly season" almost here, little things like this won't make it onto any development to-do list before Christmas...
