BUG: Paste New Component function is broken

The new instance of the component appears momentarily, then disappears, leaving the copy/move dialog with no selected object to work with. It is not possible to paste a new instance of a component that is not linked to the original. Paste works, but then any edits made to any instance (other than position) propagate to all other instances. I need to copy the component and edit the copy without the edits affecting the original instance, and I can't.

I can, but I'd prefer to send it privately, rather than post it publicly, as it's intended to become a commercial product.

Hi @jonwienke ,

Thank you for sharing the design.
I agree with you that this is a bug and also annoying, reported as FUS-81941 in internal issue tracking system.
I will get back to you with possible solution or a workaround.
