BUG: in sketch environment, 2-point rectangle tool hitches while dragging 2nd point and won't snap to intersected point

attached video but when I open a sketch and intersect the three bodies that I want to intersect with, the 2-point rectangle tool is exhibiting unexpected behavior.

it begins to hitch while dragging the second point and then when I snap to the second intersected point the rectangle just... disappears like I never dropped the first node. if I drag away the rectangle shows back up, but if I click to drop the second node then it drops a first node and doesn't acknowledge the first any longer.
