Bug for the parameters

On this modeling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6picYSItW8 , Manuel Warland encounters a memorization bug of the "LargeurSlot" parameter. He applies it on 5 Slots. When it changes the value of the parameter, it is not taken into account by the 5 Slots and the parameter must be re-assigned to them as a dimension. Many of us have reported this same bug on my Facebook Group while trying to reproduce the same modeling.

Hi,

please share a sample file to take a look at.

File > export > save as f3d on local device  > attach it to the next post.

I created a Slot with diameter = Parameter "try" (11 mm).

I create 4 other Slots with the same Parameter.

If I change "try" = 12 mm, we have mistakes.

Hi,

If existing points are used, the parameterization will not be applied during the first dimensioning. It will then work with a new dimensioning.
With free slots it works immediately.

But you don't try to change the Parameter.

In this situation, the problem is that some measures have not adopted the parameterization. This can be recognized by the missing suffix (fx.)
If after a new dimensioning with assignment of the parameter the P was taken over, this becomes clear by this suffix. Then also changes of the parameters have an effect.

@g-andresen, to me this is a bug. The width of the slot is not related to its length. The existing points only constraint the length of the slot. Did I miss something in your explanation?

In #4 and #6 I described that under certain conditions the assignment of the parameter is not done when creating the slot.
However, when re-dimensioning with the P, this is done.
I leave the decision as to whether this is a bug to e.g. @jeff_strater
