Bug: editing Param names in sketch doesn't update unless value changes

Hi!

When editing a value, such as a sketch dimension, setting or changing the parameter name silently fails and doesn't apply the new/updated name unless the value changes (e.g. going from `x=3mm` to `y=3mm` doesn't rename the `x` parameter to `y`, however going from `x=3mm` to `y=3*1mm` does change the parameter name since the "value" changed)

Thanks!

I cannot replicate your statement.  In the video I change the Parameter Names without changing the Parameter Value and it updates the Parameter Name in the model sketch just fine.  Please tell me what I should do to replicate your issue and/or supply a video showing your process and findings.

Hi John, thanks for testing, though I wasn't as clear as I should have been; this issue only occurs when editing a value outside of the Parameters window, for example when double clicking a sketch dimension in a sketch and directly renaming (or naming) the parameter there without touching the value. Things work fine in the Parameters window but that window is not great for hotkey enthusiasts and for some workflows.

Thanks
